Does anyone know if Cave Dog's speech he gave on Long's was recorded? Apparently, his words were pretty amazing and it would be great for those of us who were not there to hear it.

Why is it even a controversy? It only makes sense to get special arrangements. Heck, I could get special arrangements on Culebra if I wanted to- all it takes is money.
I think Cave Dog also got special arrangements for Culebra.

Putting aside the rules and controversy discussion for a sec, I just wanted to say thanks for posting this, Peter. It seems like this article was a pretty fair and balanced approach to FKTs as a whole. The debates will rage on, but I or one thought the NYT did a pretty good job tackling a (relatively) obscure subject. Congrats on the coverage and thanks for you work. I enjoyed the read!

Personally I was amused by the really rather "esoteric" nature of the Culebra controversy. Hardly something I'd see resonating with the average NYT reader!

Does anyone know if there are any Colorado 14er FKT attempts planned for 2016? Just curious, and it could also impact my plans for climbing this summer.
