Woman rescued near Mt. Evans

Postby randalmartin » Sun Aug 19, 2012 7:33 pm

Based on the location of the rescue it sounds like she may have suffered some medical emergency and not a climbing accident.

Hope she will be ok.

My impression is that that spot is not a place where a lot of people venture. I assume she was not hiking alone, whether she came via the Sawtooth or Evans.

Hope she is OK.

Huh, we saw the helicopter fly into that area twice, and were wondering what had happened. Thanks for posting that, and I hope she'll be ok.

Thank goodness it wasn't a dog. :-"

If it's not a dog, who cares.

Did her hottub slip off the summit?

Was she underprepared after reading RangerGuy's post that Evans was only a f****** molehill?

Was she overprepared after reading RangerGuy's post that crampons/iceaxe/shovel/probe/pickett may be needed in summer and toppled over from fatigue?

Was she a "mountaineer"?
