That I could ideally do in May. Ive done flatiron freeway and Greyrock weenie route. Looking for more and lmk if you would like to go scrambling!
Woah! Amazing recommendations, thank you!!12ersRule wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 11:00 am Solid start! Hard to beat the Flatirons and Greyrock Weenie Route. That's a lot of sustained scrambling, for sure. most of these aren't as sustained:
Button Rock, not the ranked one: https://listsofjohn.com/peak/5221
Oldman Mountain - https://listsofjohn.com/peak/4919
Anything in the Red Feathers Quad - make your own fun here.
8314 - tricky summit block. You can go under a rock and it's probably C3. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/4936
8370 - southwest ridge of this one is great. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/4873 plus I needed a tree to get to the summit of this one 8359 - https://listsofjohn.com/peak/4895
"Gem Peak" - good route finding challenge and lots of optional scrambling. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/3995.
8202 - nice summit block. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/5061
Noels Knob - definitely tricky summit block. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/4322 This and nearby Olympus. I believe there might be some nesting closures, so watch out for that.
I'll throw in a few in Wyoming I really liked last year.
Sugar Loaf - took me forever to figure out the safest way. Easiest way still had a little exposure on it, but worthwhile. https://listsofjohn.com/peak/9576
7770 - combine with Sugar Loaf. fun summit area https://listsofjohn.com/peak/9650. Try this on the drive out. I haven't had time yet though - https://listsofjohn.com/peak/10005
Split Rock - insane views. Not so much of a scramble as a route-finding challenge - https://listsofjohn.com/peak/9172
#1 regret on what I missed in NoCo

Steamboat Rocks https://listsofjohn.com/peak/6106 private lands, but I think they give permission
Meant to get to it, but didn't - Ralston Buttes. Just private property issues combined with the fact that you probably want to at least have some sort of protection on it -

Someone else should fill you in on Platte area in the south though. I have done some peaks there but others will be able to do it more justice than I would.
