Fyi - It looks like the accident was on Wilson Peak not Mount Wilson.

My prayers go out to the injured skier. Can’t imagine how scary that must’ve been, and still is to those involved.

Crazy hope he ends up being ok, at first I thought this was an old post because I remembered reading about this one in 2021 on Wilson Peak, also fell 2,000 ft.

Matt Randall just did a podcast on the sharp end about hitting a rock on Maroon and sliding 1000ft down the mountain. And he posted the helmet cam video on Instagram too. There have been some big falls in Joaquin and even Silver couloir had a fatal accident back in 2012. Can't take firm spring conditions lightly. Slopes in the high 30s become no fall zones.
