Want to make sure I have the current Highway 50 situation understood. Is it correct that the construction that was causing delays for 2-3 years, and that was west of the reservoir and bridge repairs on 50, is finally completed and is a non-issue anymore? BUT! The bridge repairs are now causing delays by using alternating single lane approach? And is it 2 bridges undergoing repairs and traffic delays now?
Can anyone give an update on what's going on with highway 50 at this point in time? (Am not interested in a Labor Day weekend condition report/schedule. Wondering about this route for possibly later in Sep.)

I had to drive to Montrose and back today. Yes, they finally finished the work in "little blue canyon". Yes, they are working on both bridges, both of which have alternating one way traffic with a pilot car. Overall, it probably took an extra 30 minutes between the two closures and being stuck in traffic even after getting through.

I "drove" it on Wednesday.
Don't do that.
They Lake City cutoff road gets closed for road maintenance on Wednesday. I don't remember what time they close it, but it reopens at 4:30....I got there (going E bound) at 2:30.
I turned around and drove 91 thru Crawford and Paonia to McClure Pass to get to Co Springs.

Thanks, Darin. Did you mean 92 instead of 91 through Crawford?

Sounds like the main bridge that was closed except during rush hour is now open from 6:30a to 7p with alternating traffic as of Sept 3.

EDIT: Drove it today. Went pretty well! Maybe I caught it right, but felt like less than 15-20 min of waiting going over the two bridges.
