The owl actually went for the pine marten in the next picture I got (1 second later) but missed. I didn't post that picture because it was so blurry due to all of the movement.

Per request - here is entire sequence of 3 pictures. In the first if you look very closely you can barely see the owl eyes. The time from the 1st picture to the 3rd picture was two seconds.

A few pics from this past springtime taken along the Pikes Peak front range. 1st-a Blue Heron committed to getting the fish. 2nd-2 Big Horns sheep having a disagreement. 3rd-a pair of Owl parents on the way to feed their young.
