Super trivial issue but I've noticed after the semi-recent update to the homepage to allow for quicker CR/TH updates that the captions for the photos that scroll by are now mostly hidden. This is when viewing on my Android...

Yep, same thing on my Windows desktop view. I'd recommend just taking those CR/TH update buttons off, since it is super easy for anyone to add those reports from the menu across the top of the page. Just my two cents, and very minor -- thanks Bill for an amazing website!

Re: Homepage captions partly blocked
Yeah, I'll work on that. I was trying to make it easier to post a conditions or TH status update from a mobile device since using the menu on mobile is a bit cumbersome.
I'll try something different. Thanks!

^Try going into your DISPLAY SETTINGS (top right of the home page in your Profile menu) and set the home page graphic to "14er Photo Gallery".
The gallery is no longer the default for those who log in. The default is now a daily photo, which is what is seen in your screenshot.

Cool, thanks, that worked! It was already set to 14er Photo Gallery, but I saved the setting and it's working now.BillMiddlebrook wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 3:59 pm ^Try going into your DISPLAY SETTINGS (top right of the home page in your Profile menu) and set the home page graphic to "14er Photo Gallery".

I had to do the same (save the already-correct setting), and then CTL-F5 the homepage before it would load the gallery.Gulf_Coast_Hiker wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 5:10 pmCool, thanks, that worked! I've noticed a few issues like this in recent weeks (where I'm seeing what appears to be an old cached page - happens with condition report comments all the time to me lately), assumed it's my browser but it's happening on 3 different computers (same Firefox browser though). I don't want to clutter this thread up with a likely-unrelated-to-the-original issue, but I'd love to sort out what the issue is (likely on my end?). Want me to PM you about it Bill, or I can start another thread?
Funnily, I never had the issue described in the original post here as a result of this caching. I then did a force-refresh and got the static home page image.
