As many 14er climbers know, Colorado Fourteeners Initiative has been working on building a new summit trail on Mount Shavano. This is a planned six-year, $2 + million project that utilizes multiple crews to build what is CFI's biggest project ever. The lowest bypass trail opened in mid-July.
Check out the following video that updates where Phase I of the project is at the end of our second field season and what we hope to do in Phase II (2024-25) assuming we get fully funded.
