Re: 2022 Leaf Peeping
Missouri this weekend was near winter conditions at the summit but peak leaf peeping throughout the approach!

For anyone looking for great foliage shots (and just great Colorado photos in general), Lars Leber on Instagram is a heck of a follow. He posts some amazing shots.

Hiked to cathedral lake two days ago--the aspens are a little past peak but still spectacular! The entire roaring fork valley is still popping with color.

Re: 2022 Leaf Peeping
Kenosha was looking pretty meh on Friday morning. Monarch Pass was also a little disappointing. The big stands near Garfield were bare already, although still pockets here and there. Close in to CB was looking good although probably a bit past peak. Kebler was awesome. Still a fair amount of green in pockets, but I suspect by the time those turn, (if they don't go straight brown) a significant amount of stands will be bare. The western side (past Lost Lake) is more green than more eastern (Horse Ranch Park). The standard red stand of tress on Horse Ranch/Dyke is abutted by a deep dark green stand making for incredible contrast! McClure looked pretty good as well, and the Vail Valley seemed to be very close to peak.
Get out there while you still can!

Re: 2022 Leaf Peeping
I was in Pikes Peak - Cripple Creek area October 9 - 10. Still great color, but past peak (half yellow, half barren). One of the latest seasons I can recall.
