Front Range Moderate Sport Climbing Sunday 5/23

Post by kempenjn »

Figured I'd try here before Mountain Project.

Looking to get some single or multipitch sport in this Sunday. I've been climbing outdoors for about a year and a half, I have all of my own gear including a small rack, I would be comfortable following mellow trad. My rope has been chopped a bit so depending on the area I would hesitate to use it (it's about 52m now), otherwise I'm fine using all of my gear.

I was usually onsighting mid-low 10s but I've had a few months off, I'm happy to climb 5.fun or belay you on your project.

Where?

Some of us were thinking of climbing around Ouray this weekend.
I'm slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

Sorry, omitted that in my original post, added to title.

Front Range / within a two-ish hours of Denver. Would love to climb down there but I can't make the drive this weekend.

I'd usually be very interested in moderate (<.11) sport, but I'm pinned down this weekend. Keep me in mind or post again for future outings. Fwiw, I'm a big fan of CCC, so-so interest in North Table.

Sure thing, Tom. I haven't been out to CCC since the construction started, & it's getting a bit hot for North Table!

Yeah, agreed on N Table. Good morning or winter-ish area, but usually too hot in the summer. Haven't been to CCC recently, but maybe the Canal Zone can be accessed with the construction? Anyway, keep me in mind.
