Quandary Sunset Summit Friday 19-Mar

Post by Carl_Healy » Tue Mar 16, 2021 9:53 pm

Potentially contemplating one quick and easy hike to get a final snowflake in for the season.
Quandary East Ridge on Friday, though aiming for a sunset summit.
Not looking to do it alone given the "sunset summit" risks.

Did Quandary East Ridge in summer round trip in 3-1/2 hours, though did it a lot slower during the Winter Welcomer and as slow and lazy as I've been this winter I expect my pace isn't going to be great. My pace was pretty abysmal on Humboldt two weekends ago...
Would aim to start at trailhead around 4:00 PM.

Still just contemplating it though. Not committed.

If you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you

I could have my arm twisted into doing that tomorrow. Been keeping an eye on conditions and thinking about getting up there somewhere tomorrow before winter is done.

Let me know if you decide you’re in.

Unfortunately I just had some work meetings pop up on my schedule late tomorrow afternoon so my availability for this now is not looking good. :(
