Re: He's Ba-ack!
I will admit to having not read every post on the thread. Does this guy have a stated reason for what he does? Not that that would justify anything, especially pooping in a pristine lake. I am just trying to get to the psychology of why someone would do something like that. Snowmobiling in a closed park I get (not that it's OK). What pleasure does anyone get out of compromising the water supply of thousands of people?

Re: He's Ba-ack!
I'm not feeling daddy issues, the guy grew up poor and was fairly aggressive in getting his own business off the ground from nothing. He started at 14 working at McDonalds. He does seem to have a problem with authority and law (those pesky things) and as to why he feels the need to act out like this, I can only guess. The Bad Boy image gets a little weird when one gets a little... old. What it reminds me more of is of ski bums in mountain towns coming to terms with aging and having serious mental health crisis about it all. This guy just you know: owns a plane and stuff.

He's at the Fall Gathering every year, why don't you just go and meet him and lose the allure and ambiguity.

Re: He's Ba-ack!
I finally met TallGrass in person this past week and can confirm he's a real person. From my interactions he came across as a humble, insightful person with an interesting approach to life. I wasn't active on the forum in the time leading up to him getting kicked off but when I asked about that his response basically boiled down to how it's so easy to take things the wrong way when you're dealing with written statements and then for things to quickly spiral into chaos (and I have now been on the forum long enough to verify that does seem to happen somewhat frequently around here...)Dakota wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:41 amHe's at the Fall Gathering every year, why don't you just go and meet him and lose the allure and ambiguity.

My dudette... if Daddy doesn't love him enough, I can't imagine his antics will get him any hugs.stephakett wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 10:20 ammy dude.. "daddy doesn't love me" is the foundation for his backwoods BS

Re: He's Ba-ack!
If the water supply was that easily compromised then we would all be sick by now.
I don't know if his motivation was about thinking about people drinking that, or if it was about just pooping in someplace touristy, or what. There's a long history of people putting bodily fluids into things other people ingest.
And also long history of people posting pictures of themselves doing stupid things at cultural sites. Look up people getting imprisoned in Thailand for posting mooning pics at temples. Or peeing on the Alamo. #ozzy
The rise of social media just changes the dynamic but not the behavior.
