Re: He's Ba-ack!
This person is probably already back, or at least reading the forums. Someone could get their screen name banned and merely create a new one from a new email address. As long as they aren't continually sending messages to the site moderator, or behaving in ways that blatantly violate basic decency or the terms-of-service of service of the website, the secondary account would be left alone.

Re: He's Ba-ack!
I don't know anything much about Deuces Wild. I can tell you that TallGrass is a real person. Like others have said here, he is very enthusiastic about climbing, and would debate you for a long time on a topic. Having met him twice and talked at length both times, my suspicion is that he is on the autistic spectrum. That is not an accusation nor it is an excuse for anything, but like me I think he sometimes misreads emotions of others. He can also be blunt, like the time he told me that he didn't really see anything to be gained by going on a hike with me. At the same time he brought me an ice ax and was going to loan it to me even though I barely knew him.Monster5 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:44 am Tallgrass and Deuces were puppet accounts controlled by the same person. It was hilarious.
My favorite thing about the TG persona was that he was the sort to argue with Ueli Steck about the best way to climb the Eiger North Face using a selection of published magazine quotes from Ueli himself.
That persona gave as much as he got. No need to martyr him.
Say what you want, but if your name isn't Alex Honnold or Gerry Roach, you have to respect his skill set. The guy climbed Sunlight Spire and put a bolt in at the top with a HAND DRILL. If you ever try to drill a hole in solid rock with one of those at 14000' while either hanging from a 5.10d or leaning over the edge of a 60-70' vertical pitch, let me know how it goes.

Re: He's Ba-ack!
He has been back, at least once. He was posting, or at least, pming (as usual) as PlayGneiss. I think that account was deleted as well but didn't look for sure.
I had a couple pms from other members telling me that he was bombing their mailboxes.

Exactly. I posted the following earlier this AM indicating the same:highpilgrim wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:32 amHe has been back, at least once. He was posting, or at least, pming (as usual) as PlayGneiss. I think that account was deleted as well but didn't look for sure.

I realized it was him after he sent me some elaborate messages and photos of the Hourglass anchors, and then not long afterwards someone posted a Little Bear TR describing a LB ascent with TG where TG did a bunch of cleanup/replacement work on the anchor.
Welcome back TG!

Re: He's Ba-ack!
I never met TG but like Sean Nunn said I always got the vibe that he was maybe autistic to some extent and felt like it was kind of gross the way he was treated here sometimes even though he could certainly be abrasive and stubborn more often than not.

I believe you guys are wrong about that account. I could be mistaken of course, but word "Gneiss" is not often seen. And don't just stay on the first page of Google results, khm...highpilgrim wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:32 am He has been back, at least once.
