i'll add some new stuff. i'm really fortunate because i have a show on a college radio station, and as a dj we get to pour through the entire 35,000+ CD library. my show focuses on 80's alternative/goth/shoegaze/new wave/post punk, but i like to mix in new tracks from the genres just to widen people's perspectives. these are all new bands i've played on my show in the last year or so (disclaimer - i am not affiliated with any of these bands/artists in any manner whatsover):

Velvet Starlings - a group of kids (literally, the lead vocalist is like 17 or something) playing indie rock with a psychedelic tinge:

Piroshka - a shoegaze supergroup featuring Miki Berenyi of Lush on vocals. this was my fave release of 2019, and was voted the #2 track by listeners on my 2019 EOYC:

Deserta - a new shoegaze act from LA, one of my favourite new (2020) tracks:

https://deserta.bandcamp.com/track/save-me

Cullen Omori - new indie/alternative artist:

Barrie - they call themselves alternative, which is kinda generic. but there's a funky groovy vibe to some of their stuff that i really dig:

They were here at the Mission Ballroom last winter as the opener for Greensky.
Holly Bowling is my new crush! She carried the headliners through their second set, IMO
She's doing live streams from her home weekly (next in four hours):

This is the work that got her noticed. Even ScaredShtles could respect it, if nothing else, for the amount of work and talent it took to create.

Huge bummer. The Stranglers were great. This one has a catchy keyboard part as well.

Perfect after a successful day out.

Both halves of this are good. I prefer Side B.
