I may be mistaken, but I thought the route off Bear Peak down to Bear Canyon was closed because of the fire last year. I had been told it wouldnt reopen until later in 2013. Like I said maybe something has changed, but that was what I last heard.

The Shadow Canyon trail is closed. South Boulder Peak is closed, but Bear Peak is open :)
