Another Finisher!!!!
Not to toot my own horn, but I finally finished! Yesterday, amid deteriorating weather, I completed my quest to climb and stand on the summit of all 0 of Colorado's 15ers!!! It was a monumental task trying to do them all in one season, but I did it. Many hours and days went into the planning and execution of this endeavor. I have many people to thank, here and elsewhere on the web....you know who you are. I poured over maps, consulted great mountaineers, trained my buns off and loaded up on Gu.
I'm not one to boast an over-inflated ego, but I'm in the process of writing a book about the experience. It will basically be a collection of the trip reports I wrote for each peak afterwards...so it could be somewhat wordy. In fact, I am pretty sure that I'm the first person to ever do this. I hope I have inspired you all to hike in my boot steps, and set your own goal of climbing all 0 of the CO 15ers.
My next goal has been set a bit higher, for the 16ers are calling my friends! See you in the hills.

You're not the first. I've done all the 15ers as well. And the 16ers. Get a move on.

Skeeter, dude...
Congrats! But such high altitude endeavors are probably better shared with the wolves on mountainproject.com, i.e. those who eat their young (and crushed glass) for b-fast. Climb on!

I like mountain project.com, but I have a little trouble taking it seriously.
Take the D1 route on Longs for example. What the f is 5.12a?
By the way, I'm a sissy biotch when it comes to trad climbing.

Don't be hating on MP! Very entertaining forums. I remember like 3 weeks ago someone was trying to sell some gear which apparently was too expensive and it turned into a six-way verbal jousting session.
And my take on ratings: 5.12a < 5.11d < 5.11- OW

Oh yeah? I've climbed all the 14ers in at least 10 countries. Maybe 20 or 30, I stopped counting at a certain point.CO Native wrote:I've climbed all of the 14ers in 47 states.
