How do you remember what you summited, when, anything of interest? I check the box, add the date and annotate notes in the memo section of who I was with etc.painless4u2 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 4:11 pm Nice work, as always. One thing though, many people (including myself) probably don't bother to check the boxes for 13ers once climbed. I'm thinking K2 has been summited by more than shown, and likely others.

Mostly, it's because I regard this site as a "14er" site, not a 13er. Maybe it's the name...

Re: See which users have climbed a peak
Very cool feature, and definitely a lot of surprises. I wouldn't have expected SW Lenawee to be the least popular peak I've summited (by a pretty wide margin).
Will be interesting to see if having these numbers available changes anybody's climbing habits.
Thanks, Bill, for all of your work on this site.

Thank you for doing this! For those of us who like numbers and lists this will be interesting!

Re: See which users have climbed a peak
I looked up a few numbers while watching football.
Most Ascents for Centennial 13ers- 1. Atlantic (1035), 2. Pacific (1018), 3. Crystal (970), 4. Silverheels (959), 5. Meeker (954).
Least Ascents for Centennial 13ers- 1. Jagged (181), 2. Turret (214), 3. Pigeon (220), 4. Thunder Pyramid (229), 5. Hagerman (238)
It looks like the peaks around Breck are very popular, plus Meeker being in RMNP near Longs. The least ascents aren't surprising as peaks that require backpacks for all but the strongest hikers ranked 1-3, and tougher Elk Peaks getting the 4 & 5 slots.
Most Ascents for BiCentennial 13ers- 1. Sheridan (1093), 2. Square Top (1083), 3. Peak 10 (692), 4. Argentine (674), 5. North Star (575)
Least Ascents for BiCentennial 13ers- 1. Oso (47), 2. Peak Fifteen (48), 3 & 4 (Tie) Peak Seven and Clark (52), 5. Northwest Pole (53)
The first two Bis actually rank higher than any Centennials, although there is a big jump in numbers after #2. Not surprised overall on the least ascents for the Bis. All seem to be hard to access peaks.

Re: See which users have climbed a peak
This site has been my main source of procrastinatory material for a long time. At least with this excellent new feature, I can pretend like I'm doing research for...I dunno...the day I go back for the Ph.D. I don't hate myself quite enough to pursue just yet...?
In potential support of this, I just looked up my most recent achievements of Cupid and Grizzly Peak D. 1228 members have checked off Cupid, but 1285 staked a claim to Grizzly. Granted, given the adventurous nature of some of the regulars here, I wouldn't be *that* surprised if 57 people had taken an alternate approach to the higher peak (perhaps deciding Grays and Torreys weren't enough of a workout on their own and so deciding to tack on Torreys' 13k neighbor? Starting from farther down 6 than Loveland Pass?), but my guess is that most, if not all, of 'em simply neglected to go far enough down the list to tick Cupid as well.painless4u2 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 4:11 pm Nice work, as always. I can see that. If you've got a good day for it (as in, you didn't pick a windy day in November for it, the way I did :p ), you might as well tack on Sheridan after Sherman, and Square Top's a cinch in terms of accessibility and routefinding. Not that Atlantic and Pacific require that much more effort (I'm guessing, being among those who have done neither as of yet), but maybe just enough more to make them slightly less popular?Tornadoman wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 3:06 pm The first two Bis actually rank higher than any Centennials...

Nice! Really shows that we all have a major dislike for the crappy Elk rock.
