CONGRATS!!!

Postby womanhiker » Wed Jul 21, 2010 9:15 pm

I know most of you don't know me or my boyfriend/hiking partner. However, I wanted to give a shout out to my boyfriend, Scott (sdizzle) for summiting his final 14er today.....Ellingwood Pt. The information and people on this website helped to make this possible!!

I am so very happy, proud, and honored to have stood on 40 of those summits with him! Congrats Scott!!! :D

Congrats Scott! Any chance you can post a pic of the BA tattoo that got you up Ellingwood?

Scott is a great guy despite his unfortunate paprika-like aroma. If you don't mind climbing with a guy who wears a scarf (sometimes only a scarf) 24/7, Scott is your man.

In all seriousness, good job buddy. Hope to see you for my finisher.

Congrats! Back to work, Scott, and get her final 13 (or 17) too!
You've never really stopped even if you feel like you have.

WOW! What an awesome possom victory. I don't know you Scott, but you're definitely a motivate and determined individual. I just summitted my first 14er last week and couldn't imagine doing all of them! Way to go, 5 gold stars for you!!!

It's been a fun and exciting journey and nice to move beyond some of the self-doubt on a number of mountains along the way. Like others I'm sure, I did not plan to hike all of the 14ers until I had hiked many of them and found myself still enjoying the harder peaks. It helped to work progressively from easier to more difficult mountains, though in hindsight I would have saved a short, easier one for last, especially since we don't have 4WD. It's also been fun hiking with womanhiker, doggler, and others as well. Looking forward to hiking / running some of them again.
