Quandary Peak 3/31 or 4/3

Post by tauriel1111 » Tue Mar 30, 2021 9:04 am

Looking for someone (or a group) to climb Quandry with me. Preferably on 3/31 but can do 4/3 if possible.

Would you consider Democrat? I was, toying with the idea of doing it tomorrow since it's down the road from me, and I haven't climbed it in March.

According to All trails seems like the trailhead is harder to access, and a little harder to accomplish. Would you agree ?

I've already done Quandary in winter, but if you are interested in doing a different easy summit, I'd love to go with you.

I'm looking to skin up and ski down 1 of the following mountains this weekend:
Bierstadt, Bross, Sherman, Shavano, or Uncompahgre. I picked these due to ease of skiing from my research.

If you stay on route (winter) quandary doesn’t get above 25-30 degrees in the bowls I believe. Still a good decision to get down early! Hoping to hit that one after I recover if lucky.

If anyone in this thread is down for getting on Quandary or Bierstadt on Monday, April 5th, count me in.
