Quandary or Bierstadt on 1/4 or 1/5

Quandary or Bierstadt on 1/4 or 1/5

Is anyone looking to get out for a summit next Monday or Tuesday? (Monday's weather looks better) I'd love to ski Quandary's East Ridge, but I'd be up for a ridge hike instead. And I'd be open to Bierstadt too, since Quandary's East Ridge is in the problem area for avy danger per CAIC.

This would be my first winter summit since my first winter summit, back in 2010 or something (Peak 1 in Frisco). I have taken AIARE 1 and have done plenty of snow climbs and ski descents in the spring. Looking to enjoy the winter weather and get experience with winter climbing as I'm hoping to do a few more this winter (Massive, in particular). And maybe meet some new partners too :-D I have a newish job and get 130 weekdays off per year, and my normal partners are all weekend warriors. So sad... for them \:D/

I'll give this a bump and request a conditions update if anyone has one. In particular I'm wondering how the ridge looks for the last 1000' or so. Is it wind-swept and rocky? Thanks, Matt
