In dry conditions I do the Barr trail up in around 4.5 hours, down in around 3.5 hours. I don’t recall that day specifically, but it was probably about that same ratio. I was in snowshoes for about a mile around the A frame on the way up, the trail was mostly packed to that point. Above tree line it was wind blown.

I climbed Pikes many years ago on New Year's Eve and watching the fireworks from up there was pretty cool.
Did you camp on top for the night or hike back down after the fireworks?
