Front Range ski partner - Thursday May 16

Postby clemsonmtneer » Mon May 13, 2013 6:37 pm

Finishing up a hectic end of the school semester this week and have one day to get out this Thursday, so I'm dying to get a spring ski descent and looking for a partner. Thinking something with a relatively chill approach since I haven't done any BC in a while, preferably close to Denver. At the moment considering Pettingell, Citadel, or Hagar from Herman/Dry Gulch area, or Parry, Eva, or Bancroft from Fall River Rd.

Still want to wait on north facing stuff (which may actually eliminate the standard descent on the Citadel) since CAIC is still mentioning deep slab potential, but otherwise open to other suggestions as well. If interested then let me know!

EDIT: After looking into the weather a little more tonight, it's not looking good as far as overnight freezes go this week. Will keep an eye on conditions over the next couple of days and decide whether or not to bail.

At any rate, I'll be out of town the 17-22nd, but will be looking to get some ski descents in thereafter.

PM sent.
The mountains - whose summits reach or exceed arbitrary thresholds for elevation and prominence - are calling and I must go.
