We are planning Mt Elbert, anyone else?
The wife and I will be on Elbert and Massive Sunday/Monday but up at Copper Mountain on Tuesday/Wednesday. We will be based out of the Halfmoon Creek Trailhead if the road is open. So long as weather and avvy conditions don't get worse that is. CAIC is listing the NE aspects as considerable at and above treeline, but the standard route is fairly low in avvy terrain. We'll be taking the east slopes on Massive, again conditions permitting, on Monday. Keep an eye out for our trenches. We'll be snowshoeing it up, so feel free to trench poach all you like...

Doing Mt.Princeton tomorrow if anyone is interested

Please post conditions when you return.. I'm interested in this one for next week. Thanks, and Merry Christmas.
Ended up doing the east slopes of Elbert due to the northeast trailhead being under about a foot of snow. What with the snow coming in I figured it a better idea to park at a serviced road and trailhead. East slopes had a good hard-packed trench up to the tree line and was wind swept all the way to the top. Not sure how much snow dropped today but at least 2-3 inches fell here in Copper Mountain. Happy climbing!
