Colombia SE ridge this weekend?

Post by PeakSixTD » Wed Feb 24, 2021 7:56 am

Anyone down for hitting Colombia? I hear it has been tracked a couple times since the last storm. Thinking of hitting it this weekend. Sunday weather is looking the best so far. Anyone into that?

I'd be interested, but would probably do it as an overnighter.

Scott, your designated campsite described in previous posts (albeit more like 11,600, rather than 11,400) is dry, flat, and wind blown.

Ok, we're going tomorrow if anyone is interested. If not, we're going anyway. Less talky, more climby.

So how'd it go? I'm curious as to the current conditions of the road and the ridge

Got within 1/2 mile of the TH with 4wd, conditions good. Lots of people up there yesterday so no trail breaking required.

Yes, everyone made it down OK. Kessler and I were a little dehydrated since we had a stove malfunction, but some kind soul "loaned" us some water. It was good to see everyone up there.
