Gear & Book(s) Giveaway Thread

Post by d_baker »

I recently moved and want to unload gear that has been sitting in storage for too long, and needs a home where it can/will be used!

As I unpack, I'll likely add to this list, which will range from hiking to climbing to reading gear.
I'm currently in Littleton for the next 4 months, so if you're in the Denver area, we could possibly meet up so you can get free stuff.

~18 year old, but in good condition:
15* synthetic Sierra Design sleeping bag / Sandman / 31x87 / 35oz (per tags on bag) EDIT: claimed by NatDog

2' (26.5") snow picket

misc. hexes without slings/wire
#'s 10, 9, (2) 7's

1/2 dozen ~3' wands

Set of tool leashes, Charlet Moser sliders
- also a couple of single random leashes, a Trango and another Charlet Moser w/clipper-keeper

G3 bonesaw (avy snow geeks) Claimed

BOOKS

Kiss or Kill: Confessions of a Serial Climber, Mark Twight

GPS Made Easy - 5th Edi., Lawrence Letham

Staying Found - Complete Map & Compass Handbook - 3rd Edi., June Fleming

Climbing Anchors - 2nd Edi., John Long & Bob Gaines Claimed

The Snow Booklet - Science, Climatology, & Measurement of Snow in US, Nolan J. Doesken - Arthur Judson (CSU, Colorado Climate Center publication) Claimed

I also have random gloves, winter hats, and some softshell pants that are good to go to either a homeless shelter/Goodwill/you.
Also a MH big puffy, no hood, red, ~20 yrs old but still warm.

Send me a message or respond here with your claim(s), or questions. Thanks

I don't know if I'll go to the gathering. It would be a first if I did!
I typically work Saturday's so getting away for that would be too tight and too far.

Book is yours.

We have a 3rd gen and 4th gen. Your 5th gen would help round out the collection.
