My guess is it’s another one of those Domestic Housecats of American Basin.

I think I see claws which would indicate canine. Wolf? Big dog? Oversized coyote?

My guess would be Great Pyrenees Sheep Dog.
I don't know where you were, but there's a lot of them in the the Park Range and Flat Tops. Also the northern Gore Range.
