Definitely an incredible dog and a very cool story. Polar shares a similar but much tamer story. I found Polar as a stray in a little mountain village when I was guiding in China (she most likely got lost from her previous owner), and she climbed the 17,7000 feet Haxaxushan with me. When I came back to the US I brought her with me.

A friend of mine was on this trip. He said the dog was pretty amazing.

I have myself witnessed and shared a summit with a dog. Not quite 7000m but it was on Aconcagua which is just shy of that.

but this is perhaps the highest-recorded elevation ever reached by a dog anywhere in the world.
Well the Russians sent a dog to space so they're wrong.

Well technically, space would be out of this world.

I laughed at this too, but Sophie (Kushner's dog) is pretty damn impressive. She's done something like 150 14ers, including some difficult scrambles and winter routes. =D>

Careful. You don't want to start a thread about a dog going up the LB hourglass...

Impressive but if measuring by peaks per pound Zero has everyone beat. 50 peaks over 13k and something like 65-70 ranked total. So she's at least 8 peaks per pound of dog.
