Funny that I come across this thread after reading a Wall Street Journal article about what we use the internet for...

So, out of curiosity, what do you guys do with the other three percent of your time on the internet?

Oh believe me, so do I. The sheer amount of ski mountaineering RAGE on this site was nothing short of popcorn, blockbuster fare.

I actually ran into Dr. Kedrowski at Vail earlier this winter. In the context of heading inside the lodge to warm our hands during a particularly nasty winter storm, he seemed like an ok guy.

- Reading the WS Journal :)
- Helping people
- Checking the weather

And, come on, there has to be a 50% slice in there for bragging on social media

1. Obsessively reloading the SNOTEL graph page hoping the NRCS has updated the snow graphs.
2. Obsessively reading the political news and despairing.
3. Working

Hey, I'm not the one who did the survey! Take it up with the Journal! Although, those numbers seem right to me...

The article mentions that 57% of the bragging on social media also falls into the porn category and 39% contains enough bitching/complaining (overt or implied) that it falls into the bitching/complaining category. Then the remaining 4% of 50% represents 2% of the other category. READ THE ARTICLE BILL!

I graciously accepted it without looking the gift horse in its douchey mouth. It actually has some nice photography and is kind of fun to thumb through if you know nothing about 'Dr. K'; but once you do, every page is tainted and you can just smell the humble brag from cover to cover. I just hate that he got royalties from my family.
My wife was being thoughtful and got the book for me as well. I brought it back the same day and picked out a different book.

Isn't this the type of thing that should be reported to the National Park Service?
