I think it's worth noting explicitly that this dude and several from his support crew, who just broke the record finishing at 2:21am and reached the Longs Peak trailhead at 4am yesterday morning, showed up last night at the 14ers.com happy hour at approximately 7:30pm roughly 15 hours after reaching the trailhead.

Here is a video clip of Andrew's finish on Longs last night(...er...this morning??). You'll have to forgive the quality because I am short, I was in the back, it was dark, and it is an iPhone.

It sure was great to see (and meet so many of you for the first time) yesterday. :)

Ok, let me try just posting the link:

Just caught the last two minutes online. Neat! He brought Calvin along, too! Where's Axel? ;)

Great interview on channel 9! But more importantly, a huge congratulations to you Andrew for this incomprehensible achievement and to your crew for keeping up with you and helping you from start to finish. Go Andrew Go!

Very cool :-) What a humble, classy, guy! And well-spoken, polite kid there, too. Bad dad should be proud dad. And the name of this thread, attempt, should be success - or smasheroo.

9news has the video on their webpage to watch. A bigger geek than me could probably embed it here.

Another segment for 9 news will be on tonight between 9-10 pm, it is much more detailed and longer, as they only had a few minutes for the live interview. I will post the link if you are interested in watching him... Again? lol

Just returning from the mountains and wondered how this finished . . .

Congratulations for a successful and inspiring effort, Andrew.

And a tip of the hat to Cave Dog for his exhibition of true sportsmanship.

Well done to all involved!
