Who is the Baron??
So since no one else is going to ask, I figured I'd throw it out there for shits and giggles, since this has been a topic of discussion with a few fellow friends from this site. Just some friendly banter and speculation. Any feedback or additional suggestions is welcome, as well as why you think that person is him.
p.s. I guarantee you its not me.

Re: Who is the Baron??
I thought he was Bean for a while there. They seem to tag team certain threads, and seem to have similar beliefs. Over time I've strayed from this line of thinking, but I'm not sure why.

Well, I wonder where that driver's bound
Is there someone, somewhere, someway out there that I've not found"

Re: Who is the Baron??
As a good friend of Mr. Bean, I can confidently say I'm certain it isn't him. Although I can't say I don't see where you're coming fromdubsho3000 wrote:I thought he was Bean for a while there. Good thread Brian.lordhelmut wrote:So since no one else is going to ask, I figured I'd throw it out there for shits and giggles, since this has been a topic of discussion with a few fellow friends from this site. Just some friendly banter and speculation.
As for my guess, I'm going to have to go with [edited]. I think this is supported by the fact that the Baron's alpine knowledge is extensive as to rock climbing, but more limited as to other topics, such as snow travel (backcountry skiing, snowpack analysis, etc.). The Baron obviously gets out a lot, and knows what he's talking about, but he can't be an expert at everything. I know that some people on this site know for certain who the Baron is (I'm not one of them), which adds great weight to the assumption that the Baron is someone who did/does post on 14ers.com.
At the end of the day, I find the Baron's advice helpful and appreciate the contribution, by whomever is behind the screen name.

Re: Who is the Baron??
The Baron is just the Baron, he's real. If we all believe in him enough...

I don't know the guy, but I've used his site as a solid resource for route beta and vicarious living. Thanks Andy. And thanks Baron for all the beta.bif wrote:I read the baron here , I thought he was from europe, Baron de Rothchild.guess not. Now me question is; who is Andy?
