Re: stuck truck on Mt. Cameron
I bet the owner of the truck is a 14ers.com member and is now either laughing at the predicament or quietly sulking in it... Would love to see him/her chime in.

At the very least, I hope the passing hikers will sign their names on the truck with a Sharpie.
Did you know that the word gullible is NOT in the dictionary?

I was thinking the same thing! Glad you posted it. I'll hike up there today and affix a sharpie on a string hanging from the side mirror.perryw wrote:At the very least, I hope the passing hikers will sign their names on the truck with a Sharpie.

Climbing partner: "Is this uphill the whole way?"
Kojones: "No, only half the hike is uphill."

On a totally unrelated note, I may have some slightly used Toyota parts up for sale in the gear classifieds soon.

Never underestimate the power of in-breeding.
I guess this makes me a member of the "anti-enjoyment" crowd...
Dear Mr. Pappy:
Do you have written permission to use my likeness?

What do you consider to be a real truck?western wrote:If they had a real truck they would not be in this funny situation.
Life is too short to pay full retail for outdoor gear!

Re: stuck truck on Mt. Cameron
I was there on Sunday also...another climber told me the driver was following his son who was on a motorcycle "making sure the path was okay" for him to follow. This grandfather in the Toyota had 2 grandchildren in the Toyota with him. Luck he didn't roll down the mountain with the 3 of them in the pickup. But mostly I would like to here the call to your insurance agent for the towing bill...

Re: stuck truck on Mt. Cameron
Okay so the guy was stupid and choose to take a truck where he didn't have the skill to be but honestly does that give you the right to vandalize his property? I really hope your are both joking and that we as a climbing community wouldn't be so selfish as to act like such idiots.Kojones wrote:I was thinking the same thing! Glad you posted it.
