14ers.com iOS App (v2)

Post by BillMiddlebrook »

Today, I released a new version of the 14ers.com iOS mobile app which includes a tabbed interface, route bookmarking and a bunch of cosmetic changes. I've dubbed this the "Idiot" upgrade in reference to the d-bag on FB who said the app must have been developed by an idiot. :) I had planned on releasing this version prior to summer but didn't find the time to work on it until recently.

I'm still working on a bunch of features specific to the map screen (GPS tracking, route overlays, etc.) but I wanted to at least get all of the other new stuff released now.

If you encounter problems using the new version, please post in this sub-forum.

Thanks, Bill! Just downloaded and it seems like an awesome upgrade, even for an idiot.

Looks great and more intuitive! Only one issue that I have ran into so far, and it’s really just a UI issue that does not affect functionality.

The segmented control appears to have multiple borders with different corner radius settings.

I’m releasing a minor update to V2 in a day or so. It includes updates for iOS 13, bug fixes, an altimeter on the map and an improved topo layer, with route lines, on the interactive map.

I hope you find it useful
