14ers.com iOS App (v1.1)

Post by BillMiddlebrook »

14ers.com Mobile App for iOS
Version 1.1 now available

I finally released a new version of the 14ers.com iOS app, which can now be retrieved from the app store.

Sorry it took so long but Apple made a lot of changes in iOS 8 so I had to rework a bunch of the app functionality. I have an additional list of future enhancements that I'd like to make to the app but the purpose of v1.1 was to get the app up-to-date with the new devices and iOS versions. However, I did apply some enhancements to improve functionality on the iPad and to utilize the entire iPad screen.

Thanks!

v1.2 included more fixes and formatting adjustments. I also added weather links on both the trailhead and route pages and various info popups (via blue links) on the routes. The info popups are more elaborate when the app is used on an iPad.

I won't be working on it much the rest of the year but I do have a list of additional changes I'd like to make by the end of winter.
