Hey - thanks much to those who are posting recent pics!
Please keep them coming!

Not being in Colorado, recent pics are the best for letting me feel *almost* like I'm there.

PikaSteve - Thanks for posting this recent pic! Beautiful! Has a little bit of everything in it. The best pics let me feel like I'm standing right there, and this one does. :-D

Ptglhs - have you considered posting pics on Twitter? I can't post pics here on 14ers, either, but it's easy getting them on Twitter.
There's a wonderful #Nature community - it's a great way to share photos and observations with folks who love the outdoors. :-D

You should be able to post pictures here. Which reminded me to post a picture, from Golden Gate Canyon SP a couple of days ago, colors should be good this weekend, still plenty of green when I was there.

Perhaps you need to downsize them? This is greatly reduced in resolution.

As near as I can tell posting photos on here consists of embedding a link to show the photo from another website. I'm able to upload photos and trip reports or condition reports, but not in the forums. I tend to eschew social media, and have no other spot online to post/share photos, so I guess I'll have to rely on descriptions.

When you compose a message, below the buttons that say Preview and Submit and Save Draft are two tabs, one says Attachments. Click on that and then click Add Files, and then when the file is uploaded you will see an option to Place Inline. That ought to work, it's what I did for the photo above, should work the same for you.

There is a size limit, I don't know what it is, but that photo above was 1000 by 1500 (or reverse that for a photo in landscape orientation) and that gets in under the limit.

All the photos I've posted thus far are in the 1.5MB (+/- 0.3MB) size range. I don't choose very highres photos as 2MB gives me enough resolution for my needs with my camera. They all uploaded fine without needing any resizing.

You can also drag and drop the photo from your computer to the msg composing window after clicking on "Attachments".
