Until I read the caption on her site, I thought that was a domestic kitten. Very interesting how they look at that age.

I found this interesting pic yesterday and thought I would share it.

While not on the summit block, the utter comtempt that he shows for his current location tells me he can visit the summit block any time he wants. :D

The Fox family moved in next door.

She's got to be the hardest working mom around. And eight or nine kits!

Here's a shot; hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed watching the kits at play.

They are adorable! More pics?

I saw a sandhill crane while I was fishing the middle Provo on Saturday. It hung around for quite a while, but I didn't get pictures.

I wish. Yes, more, but not very good. These guys are tough customers! It's extremely hard to sneak up on them to get a decent shot. Still working on it; hope to get a few more in the near future.

(Mom caught me out in the yard filming the cubs this morning when she was coming back from the grocery tree. I casually turned my back to her, and quietly walked away toward the house. She took an alternate route to the kits, but did not appear to be too distressed. She let them stay out and play, so I think she was ok with it. These shots were from a good 50 yards away as it is.)

I captured this picture with a trail camera about 100 yuards from my back door. It was a fisher feasting on a dead deer.

Jim, this is the image I mentioned in my email. I was photographing a family of foxes a few years ago and I saw a great shot of the mom so I turned my back on the kits and focused on the mom. A few minutes later I heard something behind me and when I turned to look, there were three kits rummaging through my backpack. One of them took off with my cup of coffee...little s**t! The kit took the cup to the den entrance, "attacked" it, and dragged it into the den. I love this picture because it shows how small fox kits are...not a whole lot taller than a large coffee cup. I tried to sell this to Bruegger's but never heard back.
