There are a couple nice spots where the 2wd trail ends and 4wd trail starts, if memory serves me correctly.

If by "near Sneffels" you mean "near the standard route," i.e. Yankee Boy Basin, then no, especially not on a weekend. You may be able to find a sort-of flat place to park your vehicle if you have enough clearance, but it won't be pleasant. You're probably better off stopping in a National Forest an hour or so short on your drive from wherever, then getting up a bit earlier.

To those who responded, thanks for the info. It looks like we will be going up the Blue Lake side based on feedback I got from a fellow ranger who worked up there that there are many ATVs on the Yankee boy Basin.

The road to the Blue Lakes trailhead has some dispersed camping options once it gets on public land, I have camped there a few times. Its a beautiful trail in the Mt Sneffels Wilderness, much better than the Yankee Boy road, enjoy!

There are campsites at the Blue Lakes trailhead, though arriving on Saturday may limit your options. I was surprised to find a campsite there on a Friday evening a few years ago.
