I was up this road in early July in a stock 4wd Xterra. Didn't need to use the 4wd at anytime but the higher clearance likely helped with some of the bumps. Echoing the above the the one steeper section of road right after the larger pulloff area is probably the worst part. Get through that and you'll be fine. Give yourself plenty of time on the way down as I found that took longer and was more wear on the vehicle than going up. Also note areas to pulloff since it is narrow in a few sections and would not accommodate 2 cars passing side-by-side. Good luck!
