Eagle County too!

Also keep in mind that in Eagle County (and several others, I think its a county-by-county law and not state) Red Flag Warnings automatically bump a Stage 1 fire ban to a Stage 2 while under the Red Flag Warning.

Bumping this before the weekend and also to let you know that Eagle County and Summit County are moving to Stage 2 fire restrictions tonight (12.01am 6/25) and Pitkin already did so yesterday (6/23). This means no fires at all, including developed sites, among other things.

This is much appreciated--conditions change rapidly and the more information out there the better.Chicago Transplant wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:33 am Bumping this before the weekend and also to let you know that Eagle County and Summit County are moving to Stage 2 fire restrictions tonight (12.01am 6/25) and Pitkin already did so yesterday (6/23). I wish I could edit the title to "Fire Restrictions" or something general like that instead of a title specific to one county but oh well.

I'm surprised Chaffee County has not implemented any restrictions yet. It was a bit unnerving seeing all the campfires in dispersed camp sites from Missouri Gulch to Huron Peak trailheads. At least it appears we have some moisture moving in for the next few days.

Considering how dry this year has been for much of the state, I'm surprised more counties in general don't have Stage 2.HikerGuy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:40 am I'm surprised Chaffee County has not implemented any restrictions yet. One wonders whether the new normal will be fire restrctions from the late spring to early fall--if not an outright ban, at least limiting fires to established sites which is what Stage 1 does.

Mustn't let anything get in the way of drawing tourists...HikerGuy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:40 am I'm surprised Chaffee County has not implemented any restrictions yet.
