It looks like they (Summit County, City of Blue Lakes? It's not quite clear) are conducting research on implementing paid parking, permitting, and shuttle services for the Quandary TH and McCullough Gulch TH in the future. Please fill out this survey and make your voice heard.

Or, transplant sunlight spire onto the top of it and ban aid climbing if the spire part.

Ehhh, then people will either treat it like Sunlight Prime (reach the survey marker, but not the highest point) or team up to schlep either a ladder or a trampoline up to the base. :p

My actual suggestion was that the county consider adding a (seasonal, perhaps) stop or line to their existing bus service (which, last time I used it, was free). No idea what the additional costs would be to run that from/through Breck, but if they're discussing shuttles anyway, maybe they can take advantage of what they already have in place. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The old "razor fang" summit block shown in photos on places like SummitPost is no more, as of at least April, 2020. The summit is now just a Class 2 pile of crushed rock. There is a half-destroyed tower a few hundred feet to the east that has the potential to eventually become the new summit, and it would be a very scary and dangerous climb. There are pics of the former in the body of my trip report, and some high-res pics of the nasty tower in the comments. Some more info on Quandary. Interesting what constitutes a stake holder. Would seem Grays/Torreys and Bierstadt might be candidates for this treatment.
