Anyone adventured around the Spanish Peaks area recently? I called the Forest Service and got supremely unhelpful information....

Also looking to get away from the crowds for Memorial Day Weekend... had planned for Quandry but the weather in Breckenridge looks unfavorable.

The weather down south looks better...

I was to 10,500 on Greenhorn today which is where the deep snow starts. I would expect that you would not yet be able to drive all the way to the parking area at Cordova Pass. I would expect deep snow in the trees (i.e., snowshoes) between the pass and treeline on West Spanish. Above treeline should be open on the south-facing slope until snowfields near the summit. This is based on past experience. I have done West Spanish 14 times including in December.
