Colorado National Monument

Post by Shaolin »

Just a heads up.

Could not find the story on the news feed (appeared on KKCO a few days ago), but work has begun on working on the rocks/barriers that are on the road going thru the monument. I believe it said it will take about 2 years to complete. Well, yesterday morning as I entered the monument, the ranger at the booth told me to expect a short delay before entering the first tunnel from the east entrance. By the time I got there, they were just about to leave (Thank You). Not really sure how this will effect things, but alot of people pass thru the monument everyday. If anyone can find the news link, please post it. Also, saw on the news about a month or so ago that trail work will be done as well.
