Prayers for strength and comfort for family and friends of the fallen climber. May he rest in peace forever, and may his memory always be a blessing.

Re: Climber Missing on Mt. Whitney
So if I read that first article correctly, the car rental company claimed he had turned the vehicle back in on the 14th, then said it was the 15th, when in reality, he hadn't returned the vehicle at all?

California Sierras have have had very high snow like Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
I wonder if this was a factor in this case.

Re: Climber Missing on Mt. Whitney
Too bad they didn't name the rental company. You could likely rent a car from them and "forget" to return it. Apparently they wouldn't notice.drewharrellrtr wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:14 pm So if I read that first article correctly, the car rental company claimed he had turned the vehicle back in on the 14th, then said it was the 15th, when in reality, he hadn't returned the vehicle at all?

Re: Climber Missing on Mt. Whitney
I saw something indicating he tried to take the mountaineering route down?

If they found him on the north face, I would guess that he went past where the MR turns right/east on the way down.
