As a member of Park County Search and Rescue, We were called out for an injured hiker/climber on Mt. Democrat on June 24th, 2017. we got to the trail head at Kite lake and were informed that a rescue was already in progress, someone with a radio was in contact with Flight For life and they were landing at the saddle between Democrat and Cameron, so we stayed at the tail head and monitored the radios listening to what was going on.
I want to thank everyone who helped with this Rescue of a fellow hiker/climber, understand there was one member from Lake County SAR on scene as well as a doctor and an EMT and all the people who helped carry this person to the FFL helicopter. Thank You to Flight For Life and all members of PCSAR that responded.
