Hi,
A friend of a friend's brother, who is a Colorado native, is missing in the back country of Japan. In Japan the lost party, or someone else must pay for any rescue attempts. He has been missing for a couple days, his wife is in the military stationed there. Any donations are welcome. Thank you.

(PS we can discuss who should pay for rescue efforts in a different thread.)

Oh, dang, didn't realize the link was already posted! Redundancy can't hurt I guess!

Best of luck finding this fellow. Reading the Stars and Strips article I learned some things about Japan. I knew it had ski areas but did not know about the Japanese Alps. And I was a bit surprised it had back country in which you could go missing. With 130 million people in an area slightly larger than New Mexico I figured the entire country was pavement and buildings.

Sad update. It appears that Mat was caught in an avalanche. Thanks to any and everyone who donated to the search efforts.
