If you can't run, you walk
If you can't walk, you crawl
If you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you
If you can't walk, you crawl
If you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you

Dang.. if this was posted a day sooner I would’ve braved the conditions. I understand SAR doesn’t need help, it actually gets in the way of their search. It sucks to feel hopeless when someone’s on the mountain. Having been there before, I’d do anything in my power to prevent it from happening to someone else, or worse. Praying for a safe recovery.

One of my Incline friends had talked to him on Monday. It had sounded like he was somewhat prepared. Positive thoughts hoping for a good outcome.

Rescue… not recovery. No one prays for a recovery.

Right, sorry poor choice of words.

I apologize, that is why I don’t type before ski days. Thank you for the correction, and sorry if that offended anyone.

This from KRXM:
UPDATE: According to Ransom’s family, he has been found. In a Facebook post, his sister wrote he was found hurt, but alive.

Hopefully he's not hurt too badly but either way glad he was found alive!

Anyone want to reach out to the kid on Facebook to suggest some things he could do next peak? This is his sister's account and she posted the story originally.

I just sent his sister a message for her brother to join this website.

I’d like him to join and share his story not so I can give him suggestions, but rather so I can learn from him. EPCSAR seemed to think he is safe because he was well prepared (quote from kktv article below.) s**t happens. Being prepared for it just means its less likely to occur and if it does, the prepared are more likely to get out of it.timstich wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 4:37 pm Anyone want to reach out to the kid on Facebook to suggest some things he could do next peak? “ The fortunate thing with this young man is that he was prepared, he did have a plan and he did have some really good gear with him and that’s what’s kept him safe. And that’s why he is walking down the mountain at this point in time.”
