Mount Toll unroped
Scoping trips for next season and thinking about Audubon, Paiute and mt Toll via north ridge. Now all reports for Toll i am finding are rope ascends via som 5.6 class. I do remember seeing somewhere online that there is class 3 route up via north ridge or by dropping west of north ridge. Cant find any info on this anymore. Has anyone done this route?

Re: Mount Toll unroped
Anton Krupicka did a running/scrambling line this last summer that went up the north ridge.

There are a few paragraphs that cover the Mt. Toll ridge and a few pictures. He did it unroped. But, it's Anton, so his version of unroped is quite different than most.

Like, dpage, I bet you are looking for the northwest face, which ends on the south side of Toll. There are several trip reports about the approach from Paiute. Here are the two that I looked at before attempting it, but turned around early and only got Notabon, so I can't actually help you with firsthand knowledge.

Re: Mount Toll unroped
I've done the N Face / Ridge route. I recall nice scrambling on generally good rock with 2 short cruxy (5.6) sections, which felt pretty solid & not super exposed. But, yes, you can keep it easy by traversing across the west face.
