Mt. Richtofen and dog?

Has anyone out there done Richtofen,and if so,is it safe enough for my badass lab--Kenny Bean jr? He really is a stud. Thanks for any help.

A dog could certainly make it up the standard route from Lake Agnes.

There is a lot of morainial deposited rock and some nice scree chutes to come down. He might thank you if you gave him some of those little booties.

Keep in mind that dogs aren't allowed in the backcountry of RMNP: http://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/pets.htm, so if your approach is from the east, leave your dog at home.
