I voted Capitol Peak, although I'd argue that it is not Class 4 neither is Pyramid.

Everything in the Elks just feels like gambling with talus. I'd say Crestones on rock quality alone, but it's also a very fun, interesting route. The north ridge of Kit Carson is cool too, but not quite as fun as the Crestones Traverse.

KC north ridge all day!

Edit: actually if you consider the S ridge on Snowmass class 4, then that's it for sure.

The Little Bear- Blanca and Maroon Bells traverses are both better routes than Capitol Peak, Crestone Needle, or Pyramid Peak. And yes, I regard both those routes as 4th class. Sounds like I should head back to the Sangres and give the N Ridge of Kit Carson a try.

I mostly think that pitches 5.4 and less should just be called class 4+... I mean if I'm wearing sneakers and not roping up it is still scrambling.

The Needle, on the basis of safer rock than the Elks or even LB (rockfall) and pretty continuous climbing on the Needle.

The class 4 direct variation on the Needle is so fantastic, let alone it removes the route rinding issues people have.

Overall vote is prob KC North Ridge, stellar.

This is the way I did it as well, and it was one of the most fun days I've had on a 14er.

Sunlight would be my choice. Just such fun scrambling above the gully and exceptional views.

Any route on Little Bear would be my preference.
