Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
We left on vacation just before you completed your amazing accomplishment or I would have joined Beek in welcoming you at Longs! What a privilege to follow you on your Tracker and through the updates provided by Andrea and your team. So very Proud of you all! Congratulations somehow doesn't capture how proud you should feel and how happy and amazed we, your friends, are for your feats and you returning safely through it all! Thanks for the updates and the recap!

Great story, great writing. Looking forward to the extended version.
I still cannot wrap my head around how this is even possible.

I thought the same thing maybe Andrea could give the record a shot. She is younger and plenty strong.greenonion wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 1:20 pm Andrea’s turn!!

Though probably she’s too smart to go running over icy ridge lines above cliffs in the dark after getting 2 hours sleep in the previous 3 days.

Relaaaax, I think Andrea has proved her credibility by this trip and should be bowed upon compared to most 14er/centennial finishers! This was a group effort, and I’m sure Andrew appreciated her just as much as she was amazed at his capability (prob not the first time ha ha). Hats off and what a f’ing work of art this was. I don’t expect to see this FKT broken for a couple decades. Andrew, any thoughts of coming out with a book in your lifetime?JChitwood wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 7:27 pmI thought the same thing maybe Andrea could give the record a shot. A mind boggling achievement. Truly superhuman.
A couple of those days when we woke up to snow on the Sawatch I thought, surely he's not still out there. Yup, you were.
Congratulations!

Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
Fascinating episode to listen to. Really interesting to hear how different this effort was than 14ers run a few years ago... both of those are so hard to imagine so I figured they would be similar efforts but it makes sense that this would be a different animal after hearing some of his stories.headsizeburrito wrote: ↑Sat Jul 31, 2021 2:55 am Interview with Andrew on the FKT podcast: https://fastestknowntime.com/podcast/14 ... w-hamilton
