Couloir recommendations near frisco
My dad and I will be in frisco next monday through friday and will be looking to do some couloir climbs if it gets cold enough. Does anyone have any recommendations for easyish couloirs in the area, that might be in?
Re: Couloir recommendations near frisco
Cristo on Quandary; the main east chute on Baldy; Tuning Fork on Torreys; the rightmost Hawaii couloir (AKA Consolation Couloir) on Pacific's east ridge aboce Mohawk Lakes; those north couloirs on Silverheels; Silver on Buffalo; is Decalibron open? Plenty of options there too.
Besides Cristo, they all require a fair bit of hiking to get to the snow - but the 13ers and 14ers are all pretty fat and supportable from what I've seen.

Not sure of difficulty (for you) but Silver Couloir on Buffalo is pretty nice.

North chute on Quandary would be a good fit IMO.

Re: Couloir recommendations near frisco
Anyone willing to share snow coverage observations from this past weekend of either the cristo or perhaps blue lakes/monte cristo basin (wheeler peak, etc.)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Christo looks like it’s done for the season. Large dry section in the usual spot near the top, and very thin down lower.
